Our Foundational Partnership

Through CalVolunteers’ #CaliforniansForAll College Corp initiative, NextGen Policy has partnered with Compton College to tackle the Digital Divide in South Los Angeles. NextGen Policy’s Digital Equity pilot program, known as Connect Corps, aims to ensure that every Angeleno is connected to the internet, and has the necessary digital skills to thrive in today’s society. In collaboration with Compton College, we have hired 12 College Corp Fellows and trained them as Digital Navigators.

Our Digital Navigators lead our on the ground efforts helping people access affordable internet service, develop digital literacy skills, as well as staff our community tech help desk.

How We Deliver on Our Goals

We’ve partnered with community based organizations , including community resource centers, housing advocates, and school districts to deliver on the promise of our Connect Corps program. Affordable home internet information, digital literacy workshops, and our tech help desk resources are available to those who need these services  the most and provided by trusted community organizations.
